Così comincia il nuovo romanzo di Jonathan Franzen, Freedom, il primo dopo Le Correzioni, che venne inserito da Time fra i 100 in lingua inglese più belli di tutti i tempi (tutto questo a proposito di classifiche e di più bravi di sempre, su cui in qualche post più tardi varrà la pena tornare).
E comunque. Il New Yorker ne ha anticipato il primo capitolo.
